every person knows when they are doing something wrong. that feeling in the pit of your stomach and in your heart that says: "i shouldn't be doing this" likewise everyone knows when they are doing something right. the only difference between people is in how good they are at recognizing this feeling.
i have come to call this 'the rightness of things'.
it is ruled both by personal beliefs as well as as the acknowledgement of society's beliefs. a truly good person does not, for instance, need society to tell him what rules to follow in his life, it will be common sense to him already.
this sense of right and wrong can also be applied to other, less tangible, things, such as a sense of being in the right place, at the right time... or a sense of wrongness about a certain path, physical as well as figurative.
it gets easier with practice, and after a while, you will start to realize the actual reasons behind the feelings.
another word for this other sense of right and wrong might be intuition... but it is all the same. |

so what does this tell us? that there is no cause for worry.
indeed, worrying about something has never solved anything one way or another. to quote someone far wiser than myself: "if it can be fixed, there is no need to worry. if it can not be fixed, there is no use to worry".
you are pretty much free to live your life in whatever way you choose, without fear of divine punishment.
just be aware that your soul, or true self is insatiably curious and if you do something to someone else, be it good or bad, then the soul will want to experience the flipside of it.
so, hurt someone in this life and you run a very high risk of being hurt in a similar fashion, either in this life, or another. same with doing something good purely in the hopes of getting a reward.
with each life lived you run the risk of getting to live even more lives... which is why the life of a dreamer (or searcher, of wanderer as can also be called) is so often such a difficult or tragic one, it is rather stressful to resolve to finish all of you karmic lessons in one lifetime.
in closing: don't panic, don't worry. |

in the waking world, we are our true selves and as such know nothing but love and enlightenment, but what is 'good', what is 'love', and what is 'enlightenment', if you have no concept of 'evil', 'fear', and 'ignorance'?
we come here to experience life in all its forms. to try to remain ourselves under stress as it were. and to experience ourselves.
as an example: intellectually know what snow is, and experiencing the joy of a snowball fight with your friends. knowing you are 'good' and actually experiencing it, is vastly different.
and so we created this universe and created the numerous illusions of this universe, illusions of good versus evil, illusions of time, illusions of death, and illusions of life and when we come down, we choose to forget that it is all an illusion... and then strive to remember once again, and strive to enjoy the journey as best we can.
it does not matter how many lives it takes, it is already certain that you'll reach that point, nor how many times you fall on the way, all that matters is that you get up, dust yourself off and keep on.
you'll reach the end of your journey when you realize that you have already arrived and that you never really left in the first place.
that will be all for today, which marks the first day that it has snowed here. |

in the morning, as you wake up from a night of dreaming... do you mourn the passing of the dream?
death is merely the waking up from a dream, for a while you are awake, you see the people you know who have likewise dreamed and you rest and speak of your experiences, then after a while when you feel like it, you lie down to sleep once more.
and in sleeping, dreaming of a faraway place called earth, dreaming together with all the other dreamers.
and when you wake up, does anyone pass judgement over you for the dreams you had while sleeping? and if not, then why not? they are as clear an indication as to your true self as you are ever likely to get.
only you berate yourself for the dreams you have experienced, only you pass judgement on you.
in calling me a dreamer, you honour me more than i have words to express. |

after too long a time spent trying to get this place to look as I want it too, I suppose, in a way, that this will do. the ads will simply have to go though.
to all things there is an end, and a beginning... they should be cherished equally. in our societies today, we tend to only celebrate beginnings, and fear and mourn the passing of an end. there is a time and place for everything. and once you have been in that one time and one place at which you and you alone do what you do best, there will be other times and other places for you to be at after moments of rest and relaxation.
this time, and this place is the start where at I will share what wisdom I have gathered through the short time I have thus far spent in this world...
but first, a cup of hot chocolate and a moments rest. |
